Harvest festival

My son CJ lives in a small town right outside the great land of Lubbock, Texas....where all the Texas Tech fans are...tho he is a Long horn fan...go figure...he is a single dad and a good one I might add! By the grace of God he is blessed with a promising career in law enforcement and has a precious daughter! Miss Lillie, our 2nd grand daughter, 2 years old.
Some times he needs just a little help with Lillie Grace, he is a police officer, plays on a softball team, and coaches 6th grade football. The morning of the Harvest Festival his job was to work at getting the parade in order (he was more than thrilled in my most sarcastic voice) so off we went to take Lillie to the parade.....it was a little more chilly out than I had expected, but we did our best.

dad was finished with lining up the parade and got to sneak away to watch the parade with Lillie Grace for just a bit....

then raced off home so he could change clothes to go and coach his football team (they lost :( 0
we went to his home and relaxed ( I washed dishes for ummmm about an hour, remember he is a single dad) CJ rushed back in and took a nap on the sofa for about 30 minutes, we took Lillie to the Harvest festival, they have mainly food booths, crafts, and games.

...I was proud of myself....the only thing I bought were some really cute Halloween hair bows for Lillie....
CJ took Lillie around and when she saw the horses she squealed she was so excited! We really were thinking she would be scared, but not in the least...CJ insisted on staying right with her as she had her first ride on a horse...

then it was on to the train ride.....

then back to the house CJ was back in uniform and out the door, as he had duty at the festival until the queen was crowned..(that is the high light of the year in this town) ..we decided to take Lillie Grace and go out to dinner......
CJ got back home after 8 and so we had to jump in the car and drive home, about an hour and 20 minutes as Harley man had to pack and be on the first flight out to PA the next morning....back to the old grind as we always say....Being I had grand kids the past few weeks I was tired and had ohhhhh so much to do!
